This week's ELH Challenge (#89) was to create animated buttons. I had a lot of fun with this simple challenge and have a ton of ideas of how I can use this in my course design. Thanks for another awesome challenge, David!
Design Inspiration
Initially, I was thinking about this in all of the wrong ways. I was thinking I would crop my designs using Photoshop and then add them to the states but luckily I had to download an update to my Adobe Suite and during that time I took at look at Jackie Van Nice and Jeff Kortenbosch's blogs and realized I was making this wayyyyyy too hard. Following Jackie's advice, I watched Jeff's video and it was like the V8 commercials, I realized I was making a very simple task overly difficult. Right away I went to work and in a few short minutes, my demo was complete!
Content Decisions
I had already decided earlier in the week that I would use the nutrition concept for this design as I am preparing to build a lesson for one of my online courses that I teach. Nutrition can be a difficult concept to teach so I was wanting to spice up the presentation of the content a bit. I plan to use this feature in my lesson development, however, I now have lots of ideas of how I can make this even better. I love looking at everyone's demo and getting wonderful ideas to jump start my own work. (Thanks everyone!)
