Welcome to my e-Portfolio. This is the place to learn about my experiences and skills as a coach, teacher, and instructional designer. I have had a love for teaching since I was a very young child when I would play school with all of my imaginary students, taught my younger brothers to read and write, and when I also taught my brothers how to throw and catch a football. I love the preparation phase of instruction as much, if not more, than the actual instruction itself, although I immensely love teaching and working with learners (both children and adults). I am an advocate for learning and believe that when you stop learning you stop growing and developing as a human being; hence, the reason I am working on my doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Instructional Design and Technology.
We are born with an innate desire to know, however, not everyone has had the good fortune to have been taught by caring and passionate teachers, professors, and trainers. Learning is and should be fun and engaging (although it can be tough and challenging as well) and it should make you think about what you have just learned, want to apply it in some way, and motivate you to want to know more. If you have the permissions to access the remainder of my e-Portfolio, I hope you like what you see. This site is ever changing as I have time to post samples of my skill sets with various e-Learning tools and processes. If you do not have permissions to this site and would like access, you can email me at coachnikibray@gmail.com. |
Niki Bray:
"I truly enjoy the creative process of designing learning and also of helping clients see the possibilities of using personalized multimedia learning in the design of their course. I am a learner-centered designer who uses research-based principles to meet the stated outcomes of the institution while also exceeding the user experience (UX) expectation of the learner."
